Féile Dhéagláin 2026: A Weekend to Remember
What a day! On behalf of everyone at St. Declan's GAA Club, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every person who came to Ardmore to support the inaugural Féile Dhéagláin. It was truly a day to remember, and we are overwhelmed by the incredible support shown to our club, our volunteers and our beautiful village.
With over 2,500 people passing through the gates throughout the day, Ardmore was buzzing from morning until night. Blessed with glorious sunshine, the village came alive with music, laughter, colour and an incredible community spirit that made the day one of the highlights of the summer.
From the moment the gates opened, families, friends and visitors from across Waterford, Cork, Tipperary and beyond flocked to Ardmore to enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment. The Wobbly Circus delighted children throughout the afternoon, the funfair and bumper cars were hugely popular, while appearances from Bluey, Peppa Pig and other surprise guests created magical memories for our youngest visitors. Everywhere you looked there were smiling faces enjoying a relaxed summer's day in one of Ireland's most picturesque seaside villages.
The live music was simply outstanding from beginning to end. We were treated to brilliant performances from Simon Says, Opposite Cheeks and Out the Gap, before our headline act The Kilkennys brought the festival to a spectacular close. The atmosphere in front of the stage during the evening was electric, with hundreds of people singing, dancing and enjoying what was an unforgettable finale to a fantastic day.
The event showcased everything that makes our community so special. Visitors enjoyed a fantastic selection of food vendors, refreshments from our bar and tuck shop, children's activities, games and entertainment, all while soaking up the unique atmosphere that only Ardmore can offer. It was wonderful to see so many people spending the day together, supporting local businesses and creating memories with family and friends.
Thank You to Our Volunteers
An event of this scale simply does not happen without an incredible team of volunteers.
To every member of our organising committee, club officers, coaches, players, parents, stewards, parking attendants, ticket sellers, gate staff, bar volunteers, tuck shop teams, setup and clean-up crews, first aid personnel, security staff and everyone who gave up their time in the weeks leading up to the festival and on the day itself – thank you.
Your dedication, hard work and willingness to volunteer countless hours ensured everything ran so smoothly. Féile Dhéagláin was a true community effort and every single volunteer should be immensely proud of what was achieved.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
A very special word of thanks must also go to our valued sponsors, whose generosity and support helped make Féile Dhéagláin possible.
We are incredibly grateful to Wiser Recycling, Simply Blue Group, Fortcay, ICA, and Mycro for believing in our vision and supporting what has become a truly memorable community event. Their commitment to local initiatives and investment in our club and our community played a vital role in bringing this festival to life.
We would encourage everyone to support the businesses and organisations that continue to support local clubs and communities. We are proud to have partnered with such outstanding sponsors, and we sincerely thank them for helping make the inaugural Féile Dhéagláin such a tremendous success.
Thank You to Everyone Involved
We would also like to thank our musicians, entertainers, food vendors, production crews, sound and lighting teams, security personnel, emergency services, contractors and suppliers who all contributed to delivering such a professional and enjoyable event.
A special thank you goes to the residents and businesses of Ardmore for welcoming so many visitors to the village. It was fantastic to see cafés, restaurants, pubs, accommodation providers and local businesses enjoying such a busy and vibrant day. Féile Dhéagláin wasn't just a success for St. Declan's GAA Club—it was a wonderful showcase for Ardmore and demonstrated what can be achieved when a community comes together.
Finally, to everyone who purchased a ticket, travelled to Ardmore, danced, sang, laughed and helped create such an incredible atmosphere—thank you. The support shown for our club has been truly humbling.
Events like Féile Dhéagláin are about much more than one day of entertainment. They help generate vital funds that will allow St. Declan's GAA Club to continue investing in our facilities, supporting our players of all ages and providing opportunities for future generations. Every ticket purchased and every hour volunteered has helped strengthen our club and our community.
As the lights dimmed and the final notes echoed across the village on Saturday night, there was a real sense that something special had been created. The smiles on people's faces, the friendships renewed, the memories made and the overwhelming support from the community have given us a fantastic foundation to build upon.
The inaugural Féile Dhéagláin has exceeded every expectation and has shown what is possible when a community works together with a shared vision. We sincerely hope this festival has become another proud tradition for Ardmore and one that people will look forward to for many years to come.
From everyone at St. Declan's GAA Club, thank you for making the first Féile Dhéagláin such an outstanding success.
