Club Notes 06.07.26
U14 Hurling
We travelled to Dungarvan on Thursday evening to take them on in the U14 championship. We played 15 aside in this game as both clubs had enough players togged out. It was very warm and the pitch in excellent condition. The lads played well in the first half and at the break were winning by 4 points. In the second half they really upped the performance and won well in the end. The result means we’re on top of the league table after 5 games.
We have a break this week with the Cúl Camps taking place at the club grounds.
Under 10 Hurling
U10’s had all county hurling blitz in Kilrossanty on Saturday, playing Erin's Own, Ballygunner and Cois Bhride. Great application and performances by all and another positive day for this group.
Under 12 camogie
Our Under 12 team produced a fantastic performance in their semi-final against Cappoquin Sunday morning, a side who had previously beaten us in the league.
Played in very hot conditions, the girls showed huge determination and battled hard from the first whistle to the last. It was a tough, closely contested game with very little separating the teams throughout.
In a nail-biting finish, our girls dug deep and held on to claim a brilliant one-point victory. A fantastic team effort and a well-deserved place in the final after a memorable battle. Well done to all the players and coaches Ciarán, Sabrina and Brett.
U16 Camogie:
Our U16 team played Modeligo on Tuesday evening and despite our best efforts we were beaten by a skillful Modeligo side. Our next outing will be against St. Anne's.
Minor Camogie:
Our Minor Camogie team had the first outing of their Championship on Sunday evening against Butlerstown in Ardmore.
We were ahead at half time but the young subs that Butlerstown had made a huge difference in the second half. A strong second half performance saw Butlerstown claim the victory.
Our next outing will be against Clonea.

Located beside our clubhouse and new playground, it will serve Badger & Dodo speciality coffee, freshly prepared pizzas, treats and refreshments in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
More than just a coffee and pizza trailer, The Sideline is another investment in our club and community. It has been designed to create a welcoming space where players, supporters, families, walkers and visitors can meet, relax and enjoy quality food and drink while supporting the continued development of St. Declan's GAA Club.
Sustainability has also been a key focus throughout the project. We are committed to reducing waste wherever possible by encouraging the use of reusable cups and serving options, while sourcing quality ingredients and supporting Irish and local suppliers whenever we can.
