Club Notes 08.06.26
U14 Football
Our U14 footballers travelled to Touraneena on Wednesday evening to take on Affane/Naomh Bríd in the league. Missing a number of players, the lads faced a very strong opposition on the night. Despite the result not going our way, the team battled hard from start to finish and never gave up. Credit to all the players for their effort and commitment.
Next up for the U14s is the hurling league fixture in Ardmore on Wednesday, 18th June at 6.30pm. Best of luck to the squad.
U12 Football
Our U12 footballers are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Ballyduff Lower for their next league game. The team currently sits at the top of the league table following a series of excellent performances and will be hoping to maintain that position with another strong display. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
Camogie Notes
U12 Camogie
Our U12 camogie team welcomed Ballyduff Upper to Ardmore last Tuesday and produced another excellent performance. The girls continue to show great improvement and teamwork, earning another impressive victory. They return to action this Tuesday evening at home against Lismore. We wish them the very best of luck.
U14 Camogie
Our U14 camogie team were involved in a thrilling contest against Clonea last Thursday evening. The girls put in a tremendous effort but were unlucky to come out on the wrong side of a two-point defeat. There were many positives to take from the performance, with plenty of potential evident throughout the team. Attention now turns to their final group game against Portlaw, where a strong performance could see them build momentum heading into the knockout stages.
Deise Draw 2026
The new Deise Draw campaign is now underway and St Declan's GAA Club is once again asking for the support of our members, supporters and wider community. The Deise Draw remains one of the most important fundraising initiatives for clubs throughout Waterford, with substantial prize funds on offer while directly supporting local club development.
Tickets are €100 and the draw features five monthly draws with over €126,000 in prizes to be won. We encourage everyone who can to support the draw and help us continue to develop our facilities, teams and coaching programmes here in Ardmore. Club representatives will be contacting members in the coming weeks and tickets can also be purchased through the club.
Your support is greatly appreciated and every ticket sold helps strengthen the future of St Declan's GAA Club.
