U12 hurling

We travelled to Roanmore on Tuesday evening last to play our U12 hurling league fixture. It was a very warm evening and our lads played an outstanding game against a strong opposition. This was Roanmore’s first team, so we were up against a strong Senior club. In the end the width of the crossbar cost us as the Sliotar came back out instead of going over to give us a draw or going under to give us a win. Final score was Ardmore 5-10 — Roanmore 6-08.

U14 hurling

On Wednesday evening we travelled to Clashmore for our U14 hurling fixture. Another beautiful warm evening and a very good competitive game was played. The lead changed hands on a number of occasions and in the end a late goal by Clashmore caught us. The score was Ardmore 2-07 Clashmore 3-07

Back to football this week and we are away to Cappoquinn/Affane

Camogie Notes

Under 12

Our U12 team took on Ballyduff Lower last Thursday at home. We had a hard fought battle against a very strong side but we came out very deserving winners in the end. They will play Ballyduff Upper next on the 2nd June in Ballyduff Upper.

Under 14

The U14 girls gave a good account of themselves on Tuesday evening but ultimately succumbed to a strong Mount Sion team. Next up is an away game v Clonea on June 4th

Intermediate Football League Final
Our Footballers lost out on Friday night to Ballinacourtey in the league final. We were outplayed by the better team on the night. We take a break now until September, while the hurling Championship takes centre stage.

Nursery
Nursery training continues to go from strength to strength every Sunday morning at 10:30am on the Astro Turf pitch. Catering for children aged 4–6 years, we now have over 20 young players taking part each week under the excellent guidance of Austin Flavin and a fantastic group of helpers.

Club Meitheal
Our Club Meitheal took place on Saturday, we had a wonderful turnout at the clubhouse, and the work completed on the day was phenomenal. Young and Old all showed up ready and eager to Work. We painted and cleaned, Dug and Cleared, by the end of the day the clubhouse was transformed. Thanks so much for all help it was greatly appreciated.

Féile Dhéagláin
St Declan’s GAA Club is delighted to announce our first annual Féile Dhéagláin, taking place at the club grounds on Saturday, July 11th.

The event will be headlined by The Kilkenny’s with support from Out The Gap, Simon Says and Opposite Cheeks.
