Anti-Litter Initiative & Grant
Ardmore GAA would like to thank Waterford County Council for awarding a grant of €1,000 under the Local Litter Awareness Programme.
This supports our “Ardmore Litter Champions” initiative — a community-led programme involving the GAA club, local schools and Tidy Towns. The project focuses on:
Weekly short clean-ups integrated into underage GAA training sessions
Strong school involvement, including a poster competition promoting anti-litter awareness
Collaboration with families and Tidy Towns to build community pride
Promoting long-term positive habits among young people
This is a fantastic example of club and community working together to improve our environment and instil pride of place in the next generation.
