Ardmore Juvenile GAA Weekly Round-Up
U9 Report
Our U9’s had a busy fortnight, with football blitz’s hosted by Cappoquin and St Pat’s on consecutive Wednesdays. In Cappoquin, we had three games, against the hosts, Clashmore and Brickey Rangers. All teams gave full blooded commitment over the three matches and we had a lot of tired bodies as the end of it. The following week, the boys were in action in Bohadoon, playing Cappoquin and Nire. The team put in one of their best performances of the summer over the two football games and went home a happy bunch. The rollercoaster continues with blitz’s in U10 and U9 over the coming week.
Under 11 Football
We have our last u11 football blitz on Monday night against Dungarvan and Killrossanty in Dungarvan.
Under 12 Hurling
Hard luck to our U12s today, it’s a shame to lose out but they put in a mighty performance in the second half out scoring St. Pats who are a division above us so we have done extremely well. They should be very proud of themselves today and we are still the league Champions for our division in both hurling and football so you can’t ask for more than that. Well done everyone.
Special mention to our worthy joint captains today, Jack Foley and James Beausang and to Jamie Prendergast who received man of the match for Ardmore.
U13 hurling
Our first game in the u13 hurling league is fixed for the weekend of the 27th September
Under 16 Hurling
St Mary’s 1/13 Ardmore 0/6
We never really got going in the first half and St Mary’s defended their goal brilliantly, had we got a goal or two we could have made it interesting. Either way we played a lot of great hurling this year and look forward to the football championship starting on the 28th.
Panel was Daithi, Jack, Paudie, Sean F, Charlie, Conor, Aaron, Jimmy, Eoin, Sean mc, John, Logan, Padraig, Eoghan, Séamus, Cathal, James, Harry and Thomas
Camogie Notes
U13 camogie
We are lucky enough to be able to field two teams in the U13 league this year, the white team and the blue team. Our white team played two very competitive games this week against Dungarvan last Thursday and Roanmore this morning. With most of this team still 11 we done extremely well to be only narrowly beaten in both. Well done.
St Declan’s Camogie Club
A little save the date for everyone, our annual fundraiser is on the 18th of October this year. It’s a great night of bingo and dancing and loads of raffle prizes on the night, so please come along and show your support and help us continue to grow and prosper every year as a successful club.
