Camogie

Under 8 & Under 10
Our U8 and U10 teams travelled to Ballyduff Upper on Saturday morning for their first blitz of the season. The girls played three tough games against Tallow, Lismore and Ballyduff Upper. Great skill and determination were on display throughout all three games and it is fantastic to see how much improvement has been made in such a short space of time. Well done to all involved.

U8 Camogie

U10 Camogie

Under 12
Our U12s welcomed a strong Tallow side to Ardmore last Tuesday evening. Things looked difficult in the opening half, but the girls dug deep after the break and, with a strong wind at their backs, battled brilliantly to earn a well-deserved draw. Tremendous spirit and determination were shown by the team. Well done girls.

Under 16
Our U16 camogie team played Mount Sion at home last Thursday evening. In what was a titanic battle, Mount Sion came away with victory by five points after scoring two late goals. Our girls played brilliantly and left everything on the field.

The team now has a short break while some of the panel prepare for their Junior Certificate exams. We wish all of the girls the very best of luck.

Healthy Club Initiative
Our Healthy Club team hosted the Movember Ahead of the Game programme for our juvenile camogie and LGFA players on Wednesday evening last. We were delighted to welcome Tipperary camogie legend Mary Ryan and sports psychologist and former Clare camogie player Laura Linnane to present this important and comprehensive mental health programme. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event.

GAA

Under 12 Football
Our U12 footballers had a convincing win over St. Molleran’s in Ardmore last Tuesday evening. The team played some excellent football throughout the game and took their scores very well. The team currently sits top of Division 3 with a couple of games still remaining.

Under 12 Hurling
Our U12 hurlers are back in action on Tuesday evening when they take on St. Oliver’s in Ardmore at 6:30pm. This will be our second game of the hurling league and all support would be appreciated.

Under 14 Hurling
Our U14 hurlers begin their league championship campaign on Wednesday evening in Ardmore at 6pm against Brickey Rangers. Best of luck to all involved.

Minor Hurling
Our minor hurlers battled hard despite suffering a narrow defeat to An Ghaeltacht last Thursday on a scoreline of 4-11 to 4-10. The team has a busy week ahead with two fixtures: Monday evening away to Clashmore at 7pm and Thursday evening at home to Kilrossanty, also at 7pm. Best of luck to the players and management and all support is welcome.

Adult Hurling
Our adult hurlers returned to winning ways with a strong 1-26 to 0-19 victory over Abbeyside in the third round of the league. This followed a defeat the previous week to St. Mary’s on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-19. Attention now turns to our next fixture against Ballinameela on June 7th.

Under 8 Hurling Blitz
Our young hurlers travelled to SETU on Saturday morning for a blitz where they played three excellent games against St. Mary’s, Na Gaeil and Brickey Rangers. There were great performances across all three matches and it is fantastic to see the improvement week after week. Keep up the good work and well done to all involved.

Nursery
Nursery training continues to go from strength to strength every Sunday morning at 10:30am on the Astro turf pitch. It caters for 4–6 year olds, with over 20 young players now taking part under the excellent guidance of Austin Flavin and a great group of helpers.

All support for upcoming fixtures is greatly appreciated. 💙🤍

Club Meitheal
Our club meitheal will take place on the 30th of May. We are hoping for a big turnout as many hands make light work. There are exciting plans in place for a kitchen revamp and a full clubhouse paint refresh in the coming weeks, and all help will be greatly appreciated.
