Ardmore Juvenile GAA Weekly Round-Up
U13 hurling
We played Abbeyside B on Sunday morning in Abbeyside in the under 13 hurling league. It was a lovely bright and calm morning which led to some really good hurling being played. The Ardmore team played really well and came out on top in the end with a final score of 6-07 to 1-07. We have two games left, our next game is against Dungarvan on Sunday evening in Ardmore at 5 o clock.
U9 & U10 Report
Hard to believe, but Wednesday, Oct 1st was the first time in 10 weeks that our U9 and U10’s trained together, not because of an extended summer break only becoming of a politician, but due to the week on week nature of the blitz season over the summer with either or in some cases both age groups having game on almost a weekly basis. With that in mind, our U9’s not content with taking on what the county of Waterford has to offer, took to the road on Saturday last to Mallow, Co. Cork for a Munster U9 Football blitz in the GAA sports complex. Another extremely well organized blitz with our own counties Head of Games Eoin Breathnach in overall charge of a morning’s operations that took in 9 venues in five Munster counties.
Our boys played Ardfinnan of Tipperary and Buttevant and Mallow of Cork in three 15 minute games. The boys showed great skill and composure over the three games and showed that they can more than hold their own at Munster level! As the season nears an end, the morning showed just how far this group have come over the season and they can be justifiably proud. We wish all the best to our players from both Grange and Ardmore national schools taking part in their respective finals in Cumman na mBunScoil this coming weekend.

Under 11
Our Under 11s travelled to Butlerstown last Sunday to take part in an U11 blitz. We played two very competitive games against Ballyduff Lower and Butlerstown and qualified for a shield final against a strong Portlaw side. The girls played extremely well and really came together as a team and finished out worthy winners at the final whistle.
