Camogie Notes

U8 & U10
Our U8 and U10 girls will take part in their final blitz of the season this Saturday when they travel to Dunhill for the annual Monster Blitz. It promises to be a fantastic day, with teams travelling from all over the county. We wish the girls the very best of luck and hope they enjoy the day.

U13 Team 1
A strong performance from our U13 Team 1 girls saw them come away with a deserved victory over St. Anne’s in Ardmore. A special mention to Rachel, who had an outstanding game, finding the net an incredible seven times.

Next up for the girls is Ballyduff Upper on Sunday.

Intermediate Football

Our intermediate footballers played out a hard-fought draw against Shamrocks last Sunday afternoon in Lismore.

They are back in action this Saturday when they take on Ballinameela in Fraher Field at 3.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.

U14 Football

A fantastic evening for our U14 footballers last Thursday as St. Oliver’s travelled to Ardmore for the county semi-final.

Having topped their group in the league section, Ardmore had home advantage, but were without three players through injury, leaving just 16 players togged out.

It was a brilliant contest from start to finish, with a huge local attendance getting behind the boys. Ardmore started strongly and took some lovely scores, but St. Oliver’s hit a purple patch towards the end of the first half to leave four points between the sides at the break.

The visitors continued to put pressure on after half-time and reduced the deficit to just a point. However, our lads dug incredibly deep, producing some brilliant attacking play against the wind to score 1-01 in quick succession.

St. Oliver’s came again, but the Ardmore boys continued to battle for every ball and added another score before the final whistle.

Ardmore progress to the County Final!

The final will take place on Saturday, 19th September, with the venue and throw-in time to be confirmed.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the team. The roar at the final whistle was fantastic.
