Camogie Notes
Under 12
Our U12 team hosted Tallow last Tuesday in a blustery evening in Ardmore. We knew we were up against it as Tallow are a very strong side but our girls dug deep and there was very little between the teams going in at the break. Even though we worked really hard as a team and every girl gave it their all, Tallow had the slight upper hand at the final whistle.
Under 14
Our U14’s played a challenge match last Sunday against the Ardmore U13 boys on a lovely sunny morning in the village. With siblings on both sides no one wanted to lose out on bragging rights. It was a mighty game of hurling with both teams playing the best they have this year. The girls tore into the game with great heart and determination and it was clear to see why they are topping their table this year with some fantastic skills on display. We finished out the game victorious by one goal but I’ve no doubt there will be a rematch on the cards. Well done to all involved.

Remembrance
Tribute to Peter Power from Ardmore GAA.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Power family and friends on the passing of Peter Power. Peter was a cornerstone of hurling development in West Waterford, dedicating countless hours to coaching at CBS Dungarvan and inspiring generations of young players. His influence was pivotal in Waterford’s historic Under-21 All-Ireland Hurling Championship win in 1992, working alongside Tony Mansfield and Joey Carton.
Peter’s leadership shone again in 2012 and 2013 when Dungarvan Colleges secured back-to-back Harty Cups, culminating in an All-Ireland Senior Colleges title in 2013. During this period, Ardmore was proudly represented by Michael Cronin, David Gartland, and Seamus Keating.
At Ardmore GAA, we fondly remember Peter guiding our Junior B team to a dramatic county final victory in 1989, a testament to his commitment and tactical acumen. His legacy is cherished by all who played under him and benefited from his passion for the game.
