Ardmore Players

Huge congratulations to all involved in the wonderful production of “The Maiden Aunt” which brought loud laughter and packed audiences to the Main Street over the weekend. Special mention to Deuglán Naofa’s own Declan Hennessy aka Francie Gilhooley, who grabbed the attention of all that attended including Liam Murphy of the Munster Express, who wasn’t sparing in his praise of Declan’s sterling performance!

Congratulations

The club extends warm congratulations to a huge friend and club advocate, Billy Harty, who was a very deserving winner of the Board/Committee Member of the Year Award at the Waterford PPN Awards Night in the Park Hotel last Thursday. Billy was nominated for his pivotal role with Ardmore Tidy Towns in championing wonderful projects year on year, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the community, the environment, and heritage conservation.

Scór na nÓg

Congratulations to Jessie Carlton who qualified for the Munster semi-finals of Scór na nÓg. Jessie was the sole representative from our Club and she did us proud with a beautiful rendition of ‘Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears’.

Thank You

With the last of the juvenile groups, the Under 10/11/12s, finishing up for the winter last week, the club would like to say a sincere thank you to all the juvenile coaches and assistants who gave so much of their time over the 2024 season to develop the skills and performances of our younger players. We hope you enjoy your well-earned rest over the coming weeks!

Condolences

The Club extends sincere condolences to Breda Cronin and her husband Tom on the sad passing of Breda’s mother Betty Coyne.  For decades we have been blessed to have Breda as a great friend, supporter, fundraiser, advocate and promoter for our club. Our thoughts are with Breda, her sisters Helen and Linda and brother PJ and all the extended family at this time.

Club Meeting

A club meeting will be held this Tuesday 26th November @ 7.30pm in the clubhouse. Looking forward to a good attendance as we prepare for the 2025 Season.
