CONDOLENCES
A veil of sadness descended over College Road and the extended Ardmore and Grange Community last week with the news of the sad passing of our friend and loyal Deuglán Naofa clubman Michael (Mike) Hennessy. Mike, his siblings and their children have been part of the bedrock of our club for decades, both on and off the pitch. He was part of the famous Ardmore side that won the Senior football championship in 1977, playing alongside brothers Pat, Johnny and Declan in that final. Two years later he played a huge part in a team that brought County Junior Hurling honours back to the village, togging out in the company of brothers Johnny and Richie on that occasion. After hanging up his boots, Mike continued his love of the GAA from the sidelines and was to be seen donning the blue and white wherever a whistle was blown to announce an Ardmore game. All in the club would like to extend deepest sympathy to Mike’s wife Breda, his children Lorraine, Jamie and their partners, Mike’s brothers and sisters and the extended proud Hennessy family.
Further sad news was received along the road just a few days later with the death of another Ardmore legend, Matt Faherty. There’s few among us that weren’t passengers of Matt at some point in decades gone by as he ferried the villagers county and country wide. The sympathy of the club is with Matt’s wife Noreen, his son Martin and the extended Faherty family at this time.
CLUB LOTTO - JACKPOT NOW €10,700
Club Lotto results for draw held on 5th November 2024, the numbers drawn were 12-19-26-27. There was no winner of the €10,600 jackpot, making jackpot of €10,600 for the next draw. Lucky Dip €20 winners were Marian Power, Dervilla Keating, Joe Callaghan, Ann French and Paddy Mac.

Camogie Boogie Bingo Fundraiser
Following its postponement last Saturday night, our annual camogie fundraiser will now take place this Friday 15th Nov at the Urchin Bar in Ardmore, doors will open at 7pm.
